What are SEO’s?
By Danielle Bult
I’m sure we’ve all had a question for Google. We’ve typed in that question and clicked on the top search result… aside from the classic Google Ads. We’ve gone to that website, found the answer to our question and then continued to browse the website. Next thing you know you’re purchasing their recommended top-rated Vitamin C. Darn it.
We can thank SEO’s for that purchase.
So, what are SEO’s?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is an ever-growing source of marketing for businesses. Search engines like good old trusty Google, have bots that crawl the web, searching through websites and determining their importance. These bots are responsible for ordering relevant websites for your search. And everybody wants top place! All businesses want to grow their website organically and there are a few ways you can do this.
What can help boost my SEO?
Having more content on your website: The more content the better! This lets the bots know exactly what you’re offering. The recommended amount of words per page is around 300.
Having a blog on your website: Having a blog section on your website allows you to build the amount of content on your website. The blog section of your website can include various articles about topics within your businesses niche.
For example; You own a skincare company… write blogs that are going to allow your audience to understand knowledge of the skin and skincare ingredients such as Vitamin C or Retinol. This will also build trust from your consumer for your brand. This will let the consumer know that you know what you’re talking about and therefore, they are more likely to trust your products.Having a density of 1-2% for keywords in your blog posts: This is an important one. Your blog writer should be aware of relevant keywords for that particular blog post as well as the keyword density. Keyword density is how many times you use your keyword within your blog post. The recommended amount is around 1-2% keyword density. For example; if you wrote a 1500-word blog post, you should include the relevant keyword found throughout your research around 15 times. I would recommend using the keyword once in the title, then scattered throughout the rest of your blog, just so it doesn’t look so cluttered.
